How to Access Unauthorized Applications or Updates via ThreatLocker
Keep in Mind: If you know you need to update an app or install a new program, it is best to reach out to your WTI team prior to needing the update so our technicians can put your computer back into learning mode to maximize productivity for everyone.
We understand you may not know in advance you need an update or new program and ThreatLocker makes the process of requesting permission quite simple.
When a user tries to run an un-approved app or update, a pop-up window will come up on the screen that looks like this:
Simply include a description of what is needed, if possible, and select send request. It will automatically create a high priority help ticket for our technicians. Once approved by the tech, you are good to go.
